If you ask most runners what their most important piece of equipment is, they’d probably say their shoes or their watch. Those are definitely important to me too but I firmly believe that something that might help ensure our safety is something we should never take for granted.

As a lot of you know already, when I run, I’m usually alone and a lot of times I may not finish my run until it starts to get dark, especially if it’s a long run and it’s during the winter months.
